Forced Meme Productions hosted sold-out, one-time-only interactive screenings of You've Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally, two films that are pure celebrations of New York City, from the on-location settings to the nuances of New York living.
They were also linked by the talent of the inimitable Nora Ephron, who gave her blessing for the You've Got Mail screening before her passing in 2012, even sending a swag bag of film memorabilia for the event's pre-screening raffle, benefitting Housing Works, a non-profit fighting AIDS and homelessness in NYC and our venue for the show.
The screenings featured pop-up trivia and prompts for audience interaction, from a mid-film Pictionary game (at I'll Have What She's Having) to a simultaneous modem noise screech-along (at We've Got Mail).
